When does the Savage need refueling, and how can you remember? Easy! When mine has burned 1.5 gallons of 93 octane fuel, at around 55-62 miles per gallon, the top end of the motor can be heard. The tank design, and some of the vibration sounds, are easily heard over the sound of the motor/stock exhaust. If you hear the valve train, fuel up.
